The following photos were given to us by Paul Dicianno of Las Vegas, Nevada. What a great find!
The pot is nearly 7 inches high, and 9 1/2 inches across the outer top edge. Notice the “gate mark” on the bottom.
Paul writes us: I was able to find out that Corning & Goewey Hollow Ware company started in Albany New York in 1859. This pot could easily have been used to feed families or soldiers during the Civil War. (1861-1865)
We are certainly looking for more info and history on this foundry.
